Recent advances in technology put Internet-of-things (IoT)-innovation on top of the management agenda across industries. The Service Science Factory and Noventum collaborated on this article to present a state-of-the art view on the Internet of Things and how to implement this vision within organizations.
(First post here ) So this post, in a series of three, looks at the answers given by Google’s Gemini on how collaboration and ideation evolved the organization’s ability to adapt and what helped. Ideation From closed to open: The way ideas are generated is changing. I asked Google Gemini five questions.
The second post , coming next, focuses on how organizations have become more collaborative, open and agile and deal with ideation and what tools and technologies seem to have emerged as the leading ones. So, it covers a twenty-five-year period but recognizes that the last five years have seen a very different set of innovation accelerants.
First, we have the growing impact of technology on Design Thinking Technology continues to provide designers with powerful ideation, prototyping, and visualization tools. These ecosystems integrate various stages of the Design Thinking process, from user research and ideation to prototyping and testing.
The term ‘broker’ is apt in that an ideation platform used as this medium is really the exchange between talent liquidity and problem liquidity. Aside from x-Factor and Speed-Dating flavours, there is an IOT (internet of things) flavour. Instead of chipped toasters, the remote sensor is the human.
Participants in MoshPit sessions do extensive preparation, including research and ideation, alone, before the group event. This contemplative pre-ideation starts the group meeting at a more advanced stage of thinking. Teams don’t come up with breakthrough ideas in one day, this is why so many ideation sessions fail.
Do this experiment: Make a list of the new digital technologies (AI, Social Media, Internet of Things, Robotics). Innovation frameworks are important, but something powerful is being systematically left out of the ideation step. Every innovation process has an ideation step. This is why I created MoshPit Innovation.
Therefore many, many companies I talk to have created and rolled-out an innovation management process based on stage-gate ideation. After many years in innovation I believe that before ideation there are some even more relevant activities to look at. Before starting to ideate the biggest question is: Where to ideate?
The shift towards remote working, the Internet of Things, and the increased use of cloud-based services are just a few examples of recent trends that carry new security risks. Crowdsourcing security threats and solutions Security threats are emerging and evolving all the time.

Internet of Things (IoT) devices, sensors, and wearables introduce game-changing opportunities. Mobile devices, apps, commerce, and location have already changed our daily lives. We constantly witness the global reach and influence of social media. Cloud infrastructure creates the backbone to connect the digital dots.
It is considered to be part of the internet of things (IoT). The methodology is structured in the 4 iterative phases initiation, ideation, integration, and implementation. You can read more about the core methodology here – this blog post focuses on the initiation and ideation phases using the 5G technology as an example.
Edge AI and IoT Integration The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with Internet of Things (IoT) devices at the edge—where data is generated rather than in centralized cloud servers—is a breakthrough that is transforming industries that require real-time data processing.
It ranges in scale from minor improvements to customer-facing processes to innovations that are expected to ‘change the face’ of entire industries, such as the Internet of Things (IoT). Use ideation and digital brainstorming: Brainstorming is one of the key disciplines in leading a successful innovation program.
As more and more technology across everything – from internet of things and machine learning to mobile and all of these technology enablements – gets into the hands of individuals around the globe it’s creating new markets. It’s also an opportunity to learn from others that are a further along in their ideation journey.

Technology is expected to play a key role in tackling climate change, both new technologies – such as Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS), green hydrogen, new energy storage solutions – as well as digitalization – for example, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain and internet of things (IoT).
We use our curated network of over one million expert solvers as well as an approach that utilizes search bot technology to create dynamic solver networks based on client-specific ideation requirements. Internet of Things? Innovation Budget Planning Consideration #2: Align Your R&D Strategy. Blockchain? Quantum Computing?
It’s all about embracing automation, artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things to optimize productivity, efficiency, and innovation across the supply chain. His or her idea must be recorded, reviewed, and promoted in a systemized process of non-siloed corporate ideation. Industry 4.0 Industry 4.0
The concept is connected to the Internet of Things, and provides that any product in the production chain can carry information about where and how, with the result that the factory is be able to organise itself. The term first surfaced at the Hannover Messe Industrial Fair in 2011, with the theme Industry 4.0.

These will define the near-and-far-future and include robotics, blockchain, big data analytics, IoT (Internet of Things), machine learning, augmented and simulated reality tools, artificial intelligence (AI), 3D printing, and biological nanotech. Productive innovative thinking is not inspired or sporadic.
Technology Horizon : New Materials are Reinventing Energy Storage Devices It is predicted that by 2035, one trillion Internet of Things devices will require 109,000 tons of lithium and incalculable energy consumption needs.
For insurance companies, innovation in the Internet of Things (IoT) may help to restore some of the trust in institutions that has been lost in recent years. To ideate, develop, and implement innovations consistently and effectively, innovation management software is vitally important to any modern organization.
Disruptive ideas don’t just happen - they must be championed. In doing so, intrapreneurs must address two fundamental truths when leading big idea innovation: that of value creation and that of persuasive communication.

Two years ago, Swedish communications technology giant Ericsson found itself looking for a way to explain the value it saw in the Internet of Things. Participants from all backgrounds gain key team building skills through collaborating closely at every stage of ideation, innovation, deployment, evaluation and scaling.
The information they gather is a necessary jumping off point for invention and ideation. AI, social media, the Internet of Things (IoT), big data and other technologies are impacting things up and down the value chain. Research into customer and market needs is essential, no doubt.
Consider the case of the Internet of Things (IoT), one of the most talked about buzz-words in technology for the past number of years. This is very difficult to achieve when innovation strategies rely on unplanned spurts of disruption driven by short-term planning rather than by a systematized process.
Zerox – Struggling to compete with business document printing in past markets, its R&D today focuses on The Internet of Things (IoT) and 3D printing advancements in additive manufacturing. Learn how our Innovation Management Ecosystem can take your collaboration, Ideation, and Tech Discovery to the next level.
